About the Role

The St Hallett Cellar Door is situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley, nestled between acres of lush Barossa vineyard, and the banks of the Para River, just outside of Tanunda. Visitors are invited to taste some of the Barossa’s finest wines, including the flagship Old Block Shiraz, Single Vineyard wines, and cellar door exclusive offerings.
As a Cellar Door Assistant, you will passionately deliver an exceptional wine experience to all visitors.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver a complete customer experience to cellar door patrons including tourists, locals and industry participants
  • Conduct wine tastings and sales
  • Undertake basic food preparation and service
  • Operate the cash register and EFTPOS facilities, including daily opening, closing and balancing duties
  • Promote wine club membership to visitors and sign new members
  • Undertake housekeeping duties to maintain the cellar door appearance

About You

It's essential that you have Responsible Sevice of Alcohol accreditation and experience in a customer facing role. It's highly desirable that you have experience in a cellar door or hospitality setting.

You can demonstrate:

  • a genuine interest in wine and enthusiasm for learning about St Hallett's products
  • advanced people engagement skills with the ability to "tell a story"
  • basic computer skills, including knowledge of point of sale equipment and processes
  • neat presentation and pride in your appearance.

About the Offer

This is a casual role, working approximately 3-4 days per week, including regular weekend work and public holidays.
