Role Details


The Key Account Manager role focusses on enhancing market share and revenue growth in the retail sector, ensuring profitability across the product portfolio. Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate, this role will be collaborating with key retailers and distributors to implement strategic business plans aligned with regional objectives, negotiate business agreements, and build brand equity. Additionally, the role involves understanding customer strategies and executing comprehensive plans to achieve desired outcomes.

This role is full time and based in Shanghai China.

Your Key Accountabilities


  • Build key relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Take ownership of shipment forecast planning
  • Achieve monthly & yearly shipment budget-Volume, net sales & profitability
  • Implement market strategies & business plans to deliver regional goals
  • Full penetration of distribution in off-trade channels in China across retailers and liquor chains
  • Create and execute comprehensive customer JBP plans with targeted / potential key accounts and distributors
  • Ensure customers & distributors monthly depletion and inventory is efficient
  • Ensure accuracy on shipment forecast and work with retailers and distributors
  • Develop, manage and leverage relevant trading initiatives and expenses

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions. They are results-driven, with a sharp focus on engaging and influencing key customers. Additionally, the candidate is adept at effective delegation, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously.




  • Strong business/financial acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Direct retail and distribution experience (essential)
  • Industry commercial acumen
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve targets & meet challenging deadlines
  • Strong strategic planning skills in order to develop initiatives (sales drivers) to achieve targeted results
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook, Word & Power point
