Quality and Food Safety Officer

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Quality and Food Safety Officer to join the Quality team at our site based at Reynella, South Australia.
This role plays an integral part in the coordination and implementation of the Quality and Food Safety Systems, ensuring compliance with Accolade Wines internal policies, operational standards and statutory obligations.    This integral role leads the HACCP team and assists with maintaining BRC, ISO9001 and HACCP accreditations.

Your Key Accountabilities

•    Support the site to drive Quality & Food Safety best practices and meet legal and regulatory compliance
•    Assist site management to ensure the site Quality & Food Safety programs are aligned with relevant Australian Standards such as BRC, ISO9001, HACCP in addition to Accolade Wines internal standards
•    Lead the HACCP Team
•    Maintain and implement appropriate changes to the Quality & Food Safety framework, including facilitating Quality & Food Safety and Customer Complaint meetings
•    Maintain Quality & Food Safety documentation using approved document management systems
•    Write procedures using logical instructions that ensure Quality & Food Safety legislation compliance is maintained. 
•    Coordinate and/or deliver Quality and Food Safety training to site staff when required
•    Collect, process, interpret and present Quality data in order to identify trends that could impact on the business and identify Quality and Food Safety improvement opportunities
•    Detect potential or actual Quality & Food Safety non-conformances, assess significance and recommend corrective or preventative action
•    Coordinate and/or participate in site internal audit/QA testing program, participate in site audits by external parties, including facilitating third Party audits of the Quality & Food Safety systems.
•    Provide technical support to the site regarding Quality & Food Safety matters and input on productivity and quality improvements
•    Lead the site Customer Complaint investigation processes and assist team with customer complaints received
•    Contribute to the site Quality and Food Safety Risk Register
•    Lead the raw material purchasing quality review process ensuring only approved suppliers are utilised and raw materials used meet Accolade Wines Specifications. 
•    Coordinate the relevant activities to ensure site compliance activities are maintained
•    To be actively involved in the consultative process and attend meetings when required (Quality meetings, SEQ meetings, Customer Complaint meetings)
•    Identify and assist in other external accreditation opportunities.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a sound working knowledge of Quality, Food Safety and HACCP systems along with internal auditing experience.  This role requires a person with excellent verbal and written communications skills along with technical problem solving abilities.  It would be advantageous for you to have a Cert IV in Training and Assessment and formal science / technical qualifications.
