About the Role

 

Houghton Wines operates a 6,000 tonne premium white and red wine production facility in Nannup WA, producing a full range of commercial through to premium wines from grapes sourced from across Western Australia’s grape growing regions including Margaret River, Pemberton and Frankland River.

We're currently looking to fill two Vintage Lab Assistant roles on a seasonal casual basis, to commence around late-January 2022.

As a Vintage Lab Assistant, you will:

  • Undertake analysis of all juices and wines and report anything not within specification
  • Carry out data entry and assist with transcription and checking of analysis
  • Assist with maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of the laboratory.

About You

 

You have:

  • A passion for wine
  • A willingness to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong numeracy and mathematical reasoning skills
  • Enthusiasm, reliability and energy
  • Flexibility to work up to 12 hours per day, six days per week over a seven-day roster, including shift work.


Laboratory operations experience  and exposure to cool climate wine production is highly desirable.
