We are now recruiting for a Senior Projects Accountant to join our global Finance team. This is a stand-alone role, in which you will be required to assist with the company's annual insurance renewal, insurance claims process and on finance related projects. 

 


You will work closely with the external broker and teams across the business to ensure successful global insurance coverage for Accolade Wines.

 

You will be based in the Melbourne office, with flexibility to work from home. 

 

This role is on a 12-month contract basis and can be completed at full time or 0.8 FTE.
 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Prepare supporting information for the annual insurance renewal, working closely with the broker to ensure all renewal information is provided in a timely manner
  • Collate underwriter submission and renewal information received from the business and assist with a comparison of information compared to prior year and understanding key movements
  • Manage the insurance inbox and escalate details of any potential claims communicate with the broker where appropriate 
  • Assist with the preparation of annual accounts.
  • Preparation of account reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Assist with the finance related projects on an ad-hoc basis including the collation of information and managing RFI’s
  • Preparation of process and procedure documents within the finance department 
  • Completion of policy and procedure documents for the Corporate Accounting Function
  • Other corporate finance related tasks as requested by the General Manager Corporate Finance and Chief Financial Officer

What you'll bring:

 

  • 5+years' experience in finance or financial services
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing strongly regarded
  • Corporate Accounting experience, CA/CPA qualification 
  • Financial modelling exposure
  • Experience in a private equity environment preferred
  • Experience in insurance management preferred
  • Excellent planning and project management skills, including the ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
