About the role

We are looking for a friendly person, who is passionate about wine and building customer relationships to join our Hardys Cellar Door team as a Cellar Door Host. In this exciting role, you will be the face of our Cellar Door, delivering exceptional customer service to our visitors by hosting our tour and tasting experiences, and showcasing some of the finest wines in our portfolio. 

We are seeking a flexible team member to join our Hardys team to work 2-3 shifts a week, including weekends, with the opportunity for additional shifts.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience to cellar door customers, acting as tour guide, experience host and tasting guide
• Operate the cash register, including daily opening, closing and balancing duties
• Promote wine club membership to visitors and sign new members
• Undertake daily housekeeping duties to maintain the cellar door appearance
• Restock the cellar door and stock room
• Pick, pack and dispatch wine orders for customers

What you’ll bring:

• A genuine understanding and passion for wine, and the ability to communicate our unique brand history to customers.  
• Exceptional customer service skills, providing our customers with the best experience possible. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with experience in a cellar door or the wine industry (highly desirable) 
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft suit and EDM software (desirable) 
• Responsible Service of Alcohol training (RSA)
