About the role

 

We are looking for a customer centric and dynamic sales person with a love of wine to join our high-performing Queensland Field Sales Team as a Business Development Manager.

You'll be responsible for the availability and activation of our diverse portfolio of wine and sparkling within the independents channel across a mix of customers spanning retail, on-prem, pubs and clubs. You’ll be independently self-motivated, and enjoy fostering customer relationships within a geographically diverse territory with a supportive team environment.

This full-time, field based position involves approx 4 days travel each fortnight to connect in person with customers across your territory spanning from Hervey Bay and Maryborough, up to Yeppoon: including Gladstone, Bundaberg and Rockhampton.

Your day-to-day will include:

 

  • Developing and maintaining routing, call cycle & coverage for your designated territory
  • Identifying opportunities & winning new business with retail customers as well as pubs & clubs
  • Driving our diverse product range, visibility, and availability across all new & existing customers
  • Execute the Key Account promotional program across multiple independently owned liquor banners in the territory
  • Understanding category and shopper insights to educate your customers and implement key strategies 
  • Negotiating directly with key business and decision makers
  • Formulating & executing development plans in conjunction with the Sales Manager 

What you'll bring:

 

  • Previous experience in either field sales or in a wine related hospitality role 
  • Demonstrated ability & motivation to achieve targets and meet deadlines
  • Passionate, professional, responsible approach, with a genuine and can-do attitude!
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • Stellar negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and a passion for wine!
  • Current Queensland drivers license
