About this role

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the operation of the Brookland Valley Vineyard as well as provide contracted grape growers with viticultural advice and direction to enable production of grapes to the desired quality.

Your Key Accountabilities:

  • In conjunction with the Viticulture Manager, WA, annually develop a management plan for the Brookland Valley vineyard.
  • Champion a safety culture for all employees and contractors through Accolade Wines Safety systems.
  • Manage the up keep of grounds and structures at Brookland Valley.
  • Ensure plant and equipment is fit for purpose and maintained in good working order.
  • Build and manage the operational budget for the Brookland Valley vineyard and site, in line with Accolade Wines' expectations.
  • Manage the CAPEX program for company vineyard, through CIF submission and purchasing.
  • Coordinate supply of water to site (domestic & irrigation) and adjoining properties.
  • Co-ordinate vintage grape intake. 
  • Promote an efficient, effective and up-to-date approach to viticulture through direction of growers and the provision of training and education opportunities.
