About the role

We are now recruiting for a Food and Beverage Technologist, to provide a single point of contact to manage the end-to-end process for our customers’ new and existing products.  This role will require a significant level of project management experience to ensure new product set up and vintage roll processes are suitably tracked to ensure all products are set up correctly and that first productions happen on the target date.

A significant part of the role will involve setting up all the customer’s wine and packaging data, and managing the artwork approval process and reporting requirements in the relevant customer online portal.  Previous experience of such portals would be very useful.  In addition, this role will work closely with those in demand management and scheduling to identify when existing products are due for review, early enough to allow sample approval and product set up processes to complete on time.

Key responsibilities include

  • To provide a single point of contact between the customer, National Account Manager and The Park teams to manage the end-to-end process for all customer NPD and vintage roll for existing products. 
  • To project manage the new product set up and vintage roll processes for commercial team own-label customers, ensuring all processes are suitably tracked, products are set up correctly and that first productions happen on the target date.
  • Implement and manage a vintage roll alert process for all existing products such that the customer approval, specification and artwork processes start early enough that we avoid any out of stocks during the change in vintage.
  • Look for opportunities to provide synergies with other processes and existing co-pack customers at The Park that will provide benefits to both parties.
  • Ensure all the customer’s specifications, artwork, reporting and documentation storage requirements are adequately met by the relevant portal.
  • Become the customer’s go to individual to resolve all product technical issues so the highest standards of customer service are maintained at all times.

What you'll bring

  • 2+ years in a Food / Beverage Manufacturing laboratory environment or food technologist role
  • Degree/HNC in a science/technical subject preferred
  • Ability to use product technical and artwork portals would be of value.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to work well under pressure with effective prioritisation.
  • Take the initiative to problem solve, challenge and improve to deliver the agreed targets.
  • Professional approach with attention to detail, demonstrating flexibility and ownership.
  • Works as effective team member, providing an effective link to other departments, demonstrating enthusiasm and self-motivation.
