About ‘The Park’

Accolade Wines’ UK manufacturing facility ‘The Park’ is a multi-award winning bottling facility, employing almost 400 people and producing 25 million 9L case equivalents of wine each year. Our state of the art manufacturing and blending plant has the ability to package an extensive range of formats, from 187ml to 1.5L in glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans and bag in box, through to 1.5L to 10L casks.  With six packaging lines and the capacity to produce 1,200 bottles of wine every minute, The Park is also home to the largest wine warehouse and distribution centre in Europe (80,000m²). 

About the role

We are now recruiting for a Senior Engineer to join our Supply Chain and Operations team. This role is centred on continuous improvement, deep systems and process expertise, coaching and education of engineering staff, and implementation of new projects and manufacturing capabilities.

In this role you will support the Production Engineering Manager, the Production Manager and lead a team of multi-disciplinary engineers in the support of new and ongoing production and site machinery.

This role is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers including in relation to machinery systems and progressing the lean philosophy ensuring continuous improvements across all areas of business processes are achieved 
•    Provide systems expertise and ensure the machinery systems are maintained to optimum levels utilising internal resource primarily
•    Diagnose Line Data Systems and Line Management Systems (e.g.LineView) to analyse and increase efficiencies on the line
•    Continuously challenge, innovate and improve the department performance through the implementation of a Lean operational philosophy

What you’ll bring:

•    Experience working within a production/ packaging environment 
•    Experience of visualisation/SCADA systems, Allen Bradley logic control and inspecting systems using sensor, microprocessor and camera technology
•    Knowledge of drive systems both inverter and servo controlled, including diagnosing and parameter replacement and automatic valve sequencing
•    Professional accreditation to a level of Incorporated Engineer (with The IET or equivalent) or above, or willing to work towards that accreditation as part of your ongoing development.
