About This Role

The Park is experiencing rapid growth in volume and complexity of operation.  This role is a key element that enables the site team to remain at the forefront of innovation.

The Senior Engineer role is centred on continuous improvement, deep systems and process expertise, coaching and education of engineering staff, and implementation of new projects and manufacturing capabilities. 

In this role you will support the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Engineering Manager and a team of multi-disciplinary engineers in the support of new and ongoing production and site machinery.

This will be done in a manner that will ensure the manufacturing department consistently achieves the targeted levels of performance, in the most cost-effective manner.

About The Role - Key Accountabilities

• Focus on Health, Safety and Sustainability across everything we do.
• To support the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Engineering Manager and a team of multi-disciplinary engineers in the support of new and ongoing production and site machinery in the most cost-effective manner.
• To continuously challenge, innovate and improve the department performance through the implementation of a Lean operational philosophy.
• To provide systems expertise and ensure the machinery systems are maintained to optimum levels utilising internal resource primarily
• To undertake re programming where machine functions require alteration to optimise all systems functionality throughout the site.
• Diagnose Line Data Systems and Line Management Systems (e.g.LineView) to analyse/increase efficiencies on the line.
• To ensure that processes are managed and developed in a manner which achieve the targeted measures.
• To assist in developing the engineering personnel skill base particularly in relation to machinery systems.
• Assist in leading the manufacturing engineers in progressing the lean philosophy ensuring continuous improvements across all areas of business processes are achieved.

Other Accountabilities Include

• To actively develop a flexible team working ethos within the teams, shift and with other departments.
• To monitor, maintain and promote safety within the department, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies. Train and assess all personnel accordingly.
• To participate in the development of the departmental Quality system and to promote quality awareness and the pursuit of a right first time philosophy throughout the department

About you

Required Experience

• Project Management and Implementation
• Extensive experience within a production/packaging environment
• Experience of visualisation/SCADA systems and Allen Bradley logic control
• Knowledge of drive systems both inverter and servo controlled, including diagnosing and parameter replacement.
• Experience and knowledge of automatic valve sequencing
• Experience of inspection systems using sensor, microprocessor and camera technology
