IT Support Specialist - Fixed Term Contract

About the role

We have an opportunity for a IT Support Specialist to join our IT Team at our Weybridge site in Surrey or at our The Park site close to the M5 near Bristol.

This role provides to PC support by responding to incidents logged via the Help Desk and by resolving these problems to users’ satisfaction.

About the location

This role can be based at either of our UK locations: Weybridge or The Park in Bristol.

Our Weybridge office is close to the train and town centre, with free parking on site.

The Park is the largest bottling plant in the Northern Hemisphere.

About the role – Key Accountabilities

  • Provide software support for all desktop applications utilised by the Company including remote support
  • Provide hardware support for PC’s, Laptops, Printers and other network attached devices such as PDAs Investigate and resolve logged Helpdesk calls and ensure Helpdesk system is appropriately maintained
  • Install desktop/mail software and keep logs of usage to ensure conformance to licences and quotas
  • Office 365 administration, in particular Mail and SharePoint
  • Keep and maintain a knowledge base of previous faults to act as a reference for future issues
  • Provide out-of-hours support where deemed necessary and appropriate
  • Working a shift pattern to be agreed with Global Service Management Leader Support the Infrastructure team as required during projects and major incidents
  • Travel to our Head Office in Weybridge to offer on site IT support as required 

About you

Required experience:

  • Possess good experience in support and maintenance of PCs, Laptops, Printers etc..  Ideally with formal IT related qualifications – MCSE, MCSA, MCP etc.
  • Possess good knowledge in the LAN Components, Desktop Applications and, Operating Systems and be able to accurately and quickly diagnose problems with these components
  • Good communication skills with users at all levels and third party providers are essential
  • 2+ years experience working in a corporate helpdesk environment 

 

You will also have the flexibility to work out of office hours to accommodate the occasional call with our Australian colleagues and have the ability to travel to the other UK site if required.
