About ‘The Park’

Accolade Wines’ UK manufacturing facility ‘The Park’ is a multi-award winning bottling facility, employing over 400 people and producing 25 million 9L case equivalents of wine each year.  Our state of the art and highly mechanised manufacturing and blending plant has six packaging lines and the capacity to produce 1,200 bottles of wine every minute. The Park is also home to the largest wine warehouse and distribution centre in Europe (80,000m²) with the largest fleet of reach truck Automated Guided Vehicles in the World! 

About the role

Our world-class bottling site in Bristol operates a Safety First culture, and has recently been awarded Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year award for 2021.

We are now recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our small & friendly onsite HSE Team.  This role is vital in providing support, guidance and advice across site on all health & safety matters.  You will need to be a strong leader and influencer, able to visibly lead by example and role model safety excellence, promoting a positive safety culture and workforce engagement by guiding and inspiring others. 

This role is permanent and full time, 36.25 hrs p/w with some flexibility of working hours, at our modern site The Park in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Drive increased engagement and interaction across all teams to continuously improve the safety culture
•    Delivery of behavioural safety leadership programs
•    Review and improve hazard and incident processes and analysis of trends to prevent reoccurrences
•    Support the Head of HS&E to assist in the delivery of the site Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability strategy and objectives
•    Support Head of HS&E and Environment Manager in the requirements to maintain ISO accreditations ISO45001

What you’ll bring:

•    Experience in a similar role in a modern warehouse/manufacturing/engineering environment of preferably 3-5 years.
•    NEBOSH diploma or equivalent level qualification (Those with NEBOSH General and working towards NEBOSH Diploma will also be considered).
•    Good knowledge of Health & Safety management systems and legislation
•    Demonstrates energy and determination, able to use initiative in driving continuous improvement
•    Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
