About the role and location

We have a new opportunity for a  Environmental Services Operative to join our Production team  at The Park site close to the M5 near Bristol.  
Working hours- annualised shift pattern (days & nights). This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. 

You will be required to be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team in the restitution of bags from containers & recycling all associated waste, handling all waste products generated at the Avonmouth site, with full ownership and accountability for the collection and compliant disposal of all waste and associated administration. You will assist in achieving continuous performance improvements and reductions in the overall waste generated with the aim of becoming a waste neutral facility. You will complete all documentation and or spread sheets as deemed appropriate under our environmental responsibility. You will ensure all consumables to production lines are delivered in a timely efficient manner in line with production requirements.

About the role – Key Accountabilities

  • To be competent and able to provide training of waste processes to both new and current employees.
  • To be willing and able to assist and cover other teams or Operatives according to the needs of the business.
  • Monitor report and respond accordingly to Spills or incidents that may impact on  the business environmental obligations
  • Record all out going waste stream quantities / collections
  • Cleaning  and minor maintenance of waste collection equipment
  • Maintain consumables Kanban supply to production lines.
  • Actively cooperate with Technician to ensure all tasks are completed and ensure smooth running of the operation.
  • To be willing and able to assist and cover other teams or Operatives according to the needs of the business.

About you

You will have experience of an operational role with packaging machinery or similar. NVQ Level 2 (UK) in Manufacturing Operations and
GCSE in English or Maths equivalent

Essential Qualifications: 
FLT counter balance (essential) 
Reach Truck licence (desirable)
Horizontal / Vertical Baler operation
Tow Tractor operation
