About ‘The Park’

Accolade Wines’ UK manufacturing facility ‘The Park’ is a multi-award winning bottling facility, employing almost 400 people and producing 25 million 9L case equivalents of wine each year.  Our state of the art manufacturing and blending plant has the ability to package an extensive range of formats, from 187ml to 1.5L in glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans and bag in box, through to 1.5L to 10L casks.  With six packaging lines and the capacity to produce 1,200 bottles of wine every minute, The Park is also home to the largest wine warehouse and distribution centre in Europe (80,000m²). 

About the role

We have a rare opportunity for a Process Manager to manage our Manufacturing Tankhouse operations.  A strong people manager you will be empowered to develop, lead and manage a team of Bulk Wine & Blending Process Team Leaders and Operatives.  Responsible for ensuring that the bulk wine is offloaded, blended and processed ready for bottling to schedule, at the required levels of quality and safety in the most efficient manner.

Reporting directly into the site Technical Manager and working closely in collaboration with the Production management team to drive innovation in products and processes, whilst seeking continuous improvement across all areas. 

This role is full-time and permanent based at The Park in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Manage liquid stocks accordingly - ensuring liquid ready for production is stored correctly and compliant to quality, safety and hygienic standards to meet production demands on schedule.
•    Manage a multi-disciplined bulk wine & blending processing team, consisting 5 direct reports and up to 25 indirect reports, to achieve high performance for individuals and the team.
•    To ensure that team members are competently trained, maintain training records, hold one to ones and identify personal development plans to ensure team members can optimise their personal performance. 
•    Manage the Tankhouse cost centre ensuring budget and costs are managed to contribute to the delivery of the overall site cost per case goal
•    To ensure that the Tankhouse area processes are managed and developed in a manner which achieve the targeted measures. To report and review performance against these measures on an hourly, daily and weekly basis, and own corrective actions to increase area performance and output against all KPI’s.

What you’ll bring:

•    Strong team management experience within manufacturing, ideally in FMCG environment 
•    Knowledge of high volume liquid batch processing would be a significant advantage
•    Previous financial experience in departmental budgeting and managing costs 
•    Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to prioritise and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
•    Collaborative team player and great communicator
•    Self motivated and solutions focussed with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

What you can expect:

Salary c£42,000-£45,000pa dependent on previous experience. This is a Days based role, typically working 8.00am to 4.00pm with requirement for flexibility when required to support operational requirements.
