Role Details

Demand Planning Manager (18 Month Fixed Term Contract)

This role is responsible for executing Demand Planning / SO&P processes for the ANZP region. 

Assuming responsibility for the development and execution of commercially sound, tested and agreed demand plans is a requirement of the role, along with 12-36 month strategic demand requirements. Champion demand planning accuracy through constructive engagement and input on proposed sales forecasts. 

Provide regional inputs and commentary into the Global SO&P process to best facilitate sales and service objectives. Work closely with Supply Chain to optimise service delivery and maintain consistency of stock flow.

Your Key Accountabilities

•    Continually monitor and track sales performance - current, historical and projected to optimise inputs into the current demand / strategic plan. Ensure inputs are entered according to stated timelines on a rolling 12 month basis. 
•    Use performance knowledge as a basis for conducting targeted, structured and focussed account reviews, ensuring monthly reforecast is fit for purpose and results focussed. 
•    Work with Commercial Finance to provide inputs into the monthly forecasting process / outputs
•    Work with Sales and Marketing to generate forecast for New Product Development incl. pipefill and initial run rate once Gate 4 (customer acceptance) is signed off
•    Actively engage with Commercial Finance & Sales in evaluation of promotional activity, including highlighting any gaps to projections / commitments
•    Liaise with Supply Chain on a regular (minimum weekly) basis to understand current supply position, constraints and any factors with potential impacts on service delivery. Ensure open dialogue and communication on matters of either over/under forecasting bias to best balance service levels with working capital
•    Own and manage monthly demand reviews with ANZ Pacific leadership team, incorporating each Business Unit lead, Commercial Finance lead and relevant management as well as taking inputs from both Marketing and Category to sign off on forecast outputs each month
•    Monthly (or as agreed) meetings with key customer contacts to review and agree signed off promotional activity, service levels, availability (OBSL)
•    Maintain allocations register of key premium stock, distribute on agreed timeline, seeking appropriate input from both Marketing and Sales
•    Pro-actively communicate any changes to forecasts to relevant parties, providing both high level and detailed outputs to ensure a ‘no surprises’ forecasting culture is embedded in the region
•    Seek continuous improvement (CI) across all facets of SO&P / Demand Planning, covering IT platforms, forecasting techniques, structure of review process and stakeholder management, both vertically (ie supply chain / customer) and horizontally (sales/finance). 
•    CI will also include ensuring DP tools and reports are fit for purpose based on agreed DP and S&OP processes.

Essential Qualifications

•    Tertiary qualifications and/or APICS CPIM accreditation preferred
•    Business Intelligence report development Masters Degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum five years experience in Supply Chain planning
  • FMCG experience highly regarded
  • High level of attention to detail along with strong report writing / data analysis skills are essential
