The Berri Estates Winery is the largest grape processing winery in the Southern Hemisphere, crushing hundreds of thousands of tonnes each vintage. Vintage is a fantastic opportunity for those new to the industry to experience and learn the skills for a potential career in the wine industry. 

We're currently looking to fill multiple Weighbridge & Grape Testing Station Operator  roles on a seasonal casual basis, to commence around late 2025 - mid-January 2025.
 

Key responsibilities:

Some of the tasks you may be involved in include;

• Weigh trucks in and out delivering grapes to the Berri Estates Winery.
• Testing Station operators are responsible for ensuring the grapes in the truck are accurately tested to the required protocol
• Answer phone calls and advising the required information in a cordial manner at all times
• Out Weighbridge – Maintain the cancellation and ‘under/over’ sheets
• Maintain good communication with the crusher supervisor, testing station operators and truck marshaller
• Select berries from the representative sample provided
• Collect Residue samples when required
   

What you’ll bring:

Essential;

• Full working rights – visa holders included
• Good communication
• Literacy and numeracy skills
• Competent with the use of Computers  
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment 
• Ability to work rotating shift work (weekends also)

Desirable;

• Previous wine industry experience
• Previous weighbridge experience
