Role Details

Your main purpose will be:

• Weighing trucks in and out  delivering grapes to the Berri Estates Winery.
• Testing Station operators are responsible for ensuring the grapes in the truck are accurately tested to the required protocol for the Maselli and Yuba

Your Key Accountabilities

• Data Entry
• Ensure trucks are directed to the correct crushers
• Ensure the booked intake schedule is maintained correctly and kept up to date
• Ensure Winery weighbridge dockets are collated by crusher and variety
• Ensure Grower weighbridge dockets are placed in envelopes
• Answer phone calls and advising  the required information in a cordial manner at all times
• Out Weighbridge – Maintain the cancellation and ‘under/over’ sheets
• Maintain good communication with the crusher supervisor, testing station operators and truck marshaller
• Operate the ‘Maselli’ to collect juice from the grapes in the trucks as per sampling requirements.
• Operate the ‘Yuba’ as set out in the Yuba protocol
• Select berries from the representative sample provided from the Yuba to fill a 500ml container as set out in the selection criteria
• Collect Residue samples when required
• Ensure all areas are cleaned and washed down where required

Other Accountabilities Include

Other tasks as reasonably required.

Your Knowledge and Skills

• Competent with the use of Computers  
• Ability to work shifts
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment

Essential Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role in a large winery
