The Berri Estates Winery is the largest grape processing winery in the Southern Hemisphere, crushing hundreds of thousands of tonnes each vintage. Vintage is a fantastic opportunity for those new to the industry to experience and learn the skills for a potential career in the wine industry.

We're currently looking to fill multiple s roles on a seasonal casual basis, to commence around late 2023 - mid-January 2024.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Approach Truck Drivers with a friendly manner at all times
  • Ensure Truck Drivers have been provided the correct paperwork corresponding to the booked intake schedule
  • Ensure the paperwork is ’Bar coded’ and direct the driver to the correct crusher waiting line
  • Ensure the booked intake schedule is maintained correctly and kept up to date
  • Liaise with supervisor and crusher operators to coordinate the traffic flow.
  • Maintain good communication with the supervisor, crusher operators/ supervisor, weighbridge/ testing station operators.
  • Early deliveries to wait for booked/scheduled time (or at the discretion of the marshaller).
  • Late deliveries will be fitted in when convenient
  • Ensure the work area is left clean.
  • Assist with maintaining stock in Truck driver sheds.

Your Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Full working rights – visa holders included
  • A willingness to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, reliability and energy
  • Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks, and the ability to work outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces including shift work.

Essential Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role would be well regarded
  • Experience in the wine industry would be preferable, but not essential
