The Berri Estates Winery is the largest grape processing winery in the Southern Hemisphere, crushing hundreds of thousands of tonnes each vintage. Vintage is a fantastic opportunity for those new to the industry to experience and learn the skills for a potential career in the wine industry. 

We're currently looking to fill multiple Vineyard Assessor roles on a seasonal casual basis, to commence around late 2024 - mid-January 2025.

Key responsibilities

Some of the tasks you may be involved in include;
•    Carry out the day-to day tasks of assessing grower patches for disease and quality as directed by the Technical Viticultural officer
•    Collect berry samples from each assessed patch to determine the berry weight as part of the assessment
•    Collect and enter field data on the motion tablets for each patch for the growers selected by the Viticultural Technical Officer.
•    Collect grape samples to determine Baume results as directed by the Viticultural Technical Officer.

What you'll bring:

Essential;
•    Full working rights – visa holders included
•    Good communication
•    Knowledge of the region and grape varieties
•    Competent with the use of Computers 
•    Drivers Licence

Desirable;
•    Preferably have a background in Viticultural or horticultural.
