Role Details

The Berri Estates Winery is the largest grape processing winery in the Southern Hemisphere, crushing hundreds of thousands of tonnes each vintage. Vintage is a fantastic opportunity for those new to the industry to experience and learn the skills for a potential career in the wine industry.
Our Vintage Laboratory Assistants support the winemaking teams with the collection and analysis of samples throughout the winemaking process. Laboratory Technicians work in our NATA approved laboratory utilising state of the art analysis apparatus.
Your Key Accountabilities

Some of the tasks you may be involved in include;
- Collection and Preparation of samples
- Performing laboratory analysis
- Recording and reporting of results
- Stock control
- Laboratory housekeeping
- Working at heights
- Working inside and outside in all weather conditions
Your Knowledge and Skills
Essential;
- Full working rights – visa holders included
- Good communication
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work rotating shift work (possible weekends also)
Desirable;
- Previous wine industry experience
- Year 12 Chemistry or Laboratory AQF qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Laboratory operations and/or winery operations experience (desirable, but on-the-job training will be provided for the right applicants)
Physical and Other Requirements
- SACE stage 2 with chemistry and maths is desirable.
