The Berri Estates Winery is the largest grape processing winery in the Southern Hemisphere, crushing 194,000 tonnes in vintage 2022. It is our team that make this possible, a team you can be part of for vintage 2023. We have a large cohort of returning vintage staff, Vintage is also a fantastic opportunity for those new to the industry to experience and learn the skills for a potential career in the wine industry. 

Key responsibilities:

 

Our Vintage Cellar Hands operate a variety of plant and machinery to begin the winemaking process, some of the tasks you may be involved in include;
•    Crusher Operations
•    Pressing (bags, screw, and drainers)
•    Fermentation
•    Filtering (RDV operation, Crossflows, Centrifuges)
•    Transfers and additions

What you’ll bring:

 

Essential;
•    Full working rights – visa holders included
•    Good communication
•    Literacy and numeracy skills
•    Ability to work rotating shift work (possible weekends also)
 

Desirable;
•    Previous wine industry experience
•    Forklift Licence
•    Confined space ticket
