We are now recruiting for a Bottling & Packaging Manager to join our Supply Chain & Operations team. This is an exciting role where you will be responsible for managing the bottling and packaging of our incredible wines at Berri Estates – the largest winery and wine production facility in the Southern Hemisphere.


You will be working on the grounds of the iconic Berri Estates, based in the South Australia Riverlands. Berri crushes more Chardonnay than the Margaret River region and more Cabernet than the Coonawarra – it’s a pretty amazing place to work!

This role is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Manage the production plan for wine, glass and cask production lines – as well as their performance and budget
•    Drive machine efficiency, labour cost reduction and overall people performance
•    Be a leader and mentor to your team, consisting of three Packaging Shift Supervisors and many indirect Packaging Line Operators
•    Continuously challenge, innovate and improve, via the development of a Lean culture and Continuous Improvement philosophy
•    Ensure that departmental standard operating procedures are followed and continuously improved
•    Monitor, maintain and promote safety within the production facilities, ensuring both compliance and rigorous training
•    Ensure that external and internal auditing requirements are satisfied, and standards are achieved to meet external accreditation standards.

What you’ll bring:

•    Strong experience within FMCG manufacturing facilities
•    Leadership acumen, with the ability to inspire and motivate those around you
•    Wine industry experience is highly regarded
•    A strong knowledge base within health & safety and compliance
•    An understanding of LEAN Six Sigma practice (desirable, not essential)
•    Proactivity, excellent organisational skills and a passion for wine!
