About the role

We are looking for a Packaging Shift Manager to join our Operations team. The role involves overseeing daily production activities for glass and cask manufacturing, optimizing machine efficiency, and personnel performance. The emphasis is on achieving targeted performance levels cost-effectively, providing leadership, and promoting a Lean Culture for continuous improvement.

This role is full-time and permanent and based in Berri. 

Key responsibilities include:

•    Ensure production processes are managed and developed to achieve targets
•    Report and review performance against set targets on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
•    Ensure all personnel are trained and have an effective understanding of our business, its processes and objectives
•    Lead departments in lean operations methodology, ensuring continuous improvements across all areas of business process are achieved 
•    Actively develop team collaboration within both production and maintenance departments
•    Monitor, maintain and promote workplace safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and legislation  

What you’ll bring:

•    Strong experience In a FMCG environment 
•    In depth experience in a Management / Supervisory role within a manufacturing facility specialising in the packaging of bottled beverages 
•    Involvement with a Lean / Continuous improvement Implementation programme and culture desirable
•    Experience operating Glass filling and Labelling machines, with Bertolaso and KRONOS experience advantageous.
•    Proactivity, excellent organisational skills and a passion for wine!
