About The Role
We currently taking expressions of interest for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our Packaging Maintenance Team on a full-time basis. The position will involve installation, maintenance and upgrading of plant and machinery and day-to-day breakdown maintenance in our packaging facility in Berri. This position reports into the mechanical supervisor and will require some overtime and working a rotating shift roster on weekdays.
This is a full time, permanent position.
What You'll Do
• Carry out maintenance work described on work sheets efficiently, recording time and material used.
• Communicate openly with fellow workers when handing work over at shift change.
• To carry out duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• To aid in Installation, maintenance and upgrading of plant and machinery.
• Aid in Implementation of preventative maintenance programs in the Packaging facility.
• To carry production line equipment inspection, lubrication and adjustments where necessary.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed in conjunction with Accolade policies and procedures
• In the event of a breakdown or maintenance request, respond as quickly as possible, then detail time and materials used on a job sheet. Should unscheduled overtime be worked (emergency only), complete overtime request form.
• To diagnose problems, repair, overhaul, tune, maintain and test equipment used on site.
• To manage stock in and out of the engineering store to ensure that material spend is with in assigned budget.
What You'll Bring
- Trade Qualification as a Fitter or Machinist
- Drivers Licence
- Forklift Licence, EWP and scissor Lift/Boom Certification.
- Previous experience in the wine or an FMCG industry.
- Formal qualifications as a mechanical tradesperson (Fitter / Turner)
- Forklift Licence, EWP and Scissor Lift/Boom Lift Certification (Yellow Card)
- TIG/MIG Welding
- Fluid Power, Pneumatics and Hydraulics
