In this role

To deliver the business goals within the Operations Planning team within Materials Management, NPD implementation, Production Planning and Customer Partnership.

An integral part of the team providing support and direction and assisting in the delivery of the annual roadmap

Key accountabilities include

  • To deliver dry goods OTIF in line with production plan and forecast, resolve supply issues with supply base and work with Procurement team to resolve potential issues and support the Supplier Development programme
  • To deliver efficient and effective production schedules, maintaining excellent customer service and availability.  Managing the communication between all stakeholders regarding plan completion and running order
  • Acts as the conduit for communication between suppliers and Accolade, and manages queries, NCRs, prices changes and effectively escalates issues.
  • Creation and delivery of the Operations Planning Roadmap, including realignment where required
  • To complete a minimum of monthly 1-2-1’s with direct reports, providing guidance and support to the whole team and identification of training or development opportunities

Other accountabilities include

  • Blanket Purchase order creation and management for long lead time and bulk purchasing
  • Use of AW systems ( JDE, AP) to interpret dry goods requirement to meet the production schedule
  • Use of various external systems to ensure dry goods reconciliation and alignment of inventory
  • Ensure suppliers are using correct protocols and procedures that ensure a transparent and ethical process has been undertaken.
  • Manufacturing variances and supplier issues – find root cause, identify the drivers and remove where possible.

Essential knowledge and skills are

  • Excellent customer focus and service

  • Detailed knowledge of ERP systems

  • Drive and ambition to continually improve
  • Team management experience

Required experience is

  • A minimum of 5 years supply and manufacturing or related experience in a packaging or drinks related industry.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and manage external parties to already agreed contracts and Service Level Agreements
  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience in a fast moving area with frequently changing priorities and requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of procurement processes, manufacturing, packaging and suppliers,
  • Analytical data management, management of cost reduction and supplier improvement programs

Essential qualifications are

  • Technical or administration degree or equivalent experience.

Physical and other requirements

  • Travel as required
  • Out of hours support when required
