In this role

To deliver the business goals within the Operations Planning team within Production Planning and Customer Partnership.

An integral part of the team providing support and direction and assisting in the delivery of the annual roadmap

Key accountabilities include

  • Responsible for the optimisation of production plans ensuring customer service and availability KPI’s are achieved.
  • Responsible for contract pack plans, ensuring that they are optimised and aligned to the contract pack and site standards. To be point of escalation for the customer and ensure that invoices are raised to cash flow requirement
  • Works with the planning  team to ensure business planning rules are aligned with the Accolade requirements and where capacity constraints exist priorities are clearly identified and escalated in a timely manner
  • Develops a communication and reporting plan that is agreed with AW stakeholders and any issues / concerns are highlighted and resolved.
  • Provides financial analysis of work performed and raises potential improvements / decisions that AW can make to improve their cost effectiveness through business processes and decisions
  • Creation and delivery of the Operations Planning Roadmap, including realignment where required
  • To complete a minimum of monthly 1-2-1’s with direct reports, providing guidance and support to the whole team and identification of training or development opportunities

Other accountabilities include

  • Develops KPI and maintains KPI’s and the performance scorecard
  • Ensures all monthly invoicing is accurately managed and tracked.
  • Ensures all documentation is produced to the agreed time lines.
  • Is involved joint Continuous Improvement forums via issue identification and driving cost saving initiatives and reporting on the same.
  • Works with the QA personnel to ensure that the quality plans are being adhered to and the products being produced meets Accolade quality standards as outlined in the Contract packaging Quality Manual (forms part of the SLA).
  • Conducts daily, weekly and monthly purchasing for various copackers, ensuring adequate materials are supplied on time and in full for execution.
  • Provide the Product Management team with insight regarding supplier capability, costs and packaging risks/ opportunities on NPD projects
  • Working with Management, SHEQ teams and employees, ensure safe systems of work are developed, documented and followed
  • Comply with all SHEQ policies and procedures

Mature attitude

Required experience is

  • A minimum of 5 years supply and manufacturing or related experience in a packaging or drinks related industry.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and manage external parties to already agreed contracts and Service Level Agreements
  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience in a fast moving area with frequently changing priorities and requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of procurement processes, manufacturing, packaging and suppliers,
  • Analytical data management, management of cost reduction and supplier improvement programs

Essential qualifications are

  • Technical or administration degree or equivalent experience.

Physical and other requirements

  • Travel as required
  • Out of hours support when required
