The Berri Estates Winery is the largest grape processing winery in the Southern Hemisphere, crushing 194,000 tonnes in vintage 2022. It is our team that make this possible, a team you can be part of. 


Our Laboratory Technicians support the winemaking teams with the collection and analysis of samples throughout the end to end winemaking process. Laboratory Technicians work in our NATA approved laboratory utilising state of the art analysis apparatus.
 

Key responsibilities:

 

Some of the tasks you may be involved in include;


•    Collection and Preparation of samples
•    Performing basic laboratory analysis and specialised tests
•    Recording and reporting of results
•    Stock control
•    Calibration and validation of laboratory equipment
•    Perform microbiological and chemical analysis
•    Assist with training for new staff
•    Laboratory housekeeping
•    Working inside and outside in all weather conditions 

What you'll bring:

 

Essential;


•    Full working rights – visa holders included
•    Good communication
•    Literacy and numeracy skills
•    Ability to work rotating shift work (possible weekends also)
•    Minimum Certificate III in a Laboratory stream


Successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, which includes drug and alcohol testing.
