Role Details

Our Barossa winery focuses on producing wines under the St Hallett, Grant Burge Wines and Rolf Binder labels, processing approximately 4000 tonnes from across the Barossa region and beyond, with the primary focus being shiraz.

We're currently looking to fill a Vintage Lab Assistant role on a seasonal casual basis, to commence around early-to-mid January 2024.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Some of the tasks you may be involved in are;

    • Undertake analysis of all juices and wines and report anything not within specification
    • Carry out data entry and assist with transcription and checking of analysis
    • Assist with maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
    • Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of the laboratory.

Your Knowledge and Skills

  • Essential;

    • Full working rights – visa holders included
    • Good communication
    • Literacy and numeracy skills
    • Ability to work rotating shift work (possible weekends also)
  • Desirable;

    • Previous wine industry experience
    • Year 12 Chemistry or Laboratory AQF qualifications

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Year 12 Chemistry (desirable)
