About the role

Our Barossa winery focuses on producing wines under the St Hallett, Grant Burge Wines and Rolf Binder labels, processing approximately 4000 tonnes from across the Barossa region and beyond, with the primary focus being shiraz.


We're currently looking to fill multiple Vintage Cellar Hands roles on a seasonal casual basis, to commence around early-to-mid January 2025.

Key responsibilities

Our Vintage Cellar Hands operate a variety of plant and machinery to begin the winemaking process, some of the tasks you may be involved in include;


•    Undertake vintage cellar operations, including grape receival, crushing, fermentation activities, barrel work and juice/wine transfers
•    Record data on log sheets and cellar notes
•    Maintain general winery cleanliness and hygiene.
 

What you'll bring:

Essential;


•    Full working rights – visa holders included
•    Good communication
•    Literacy and numeracy skills
•    Ability to work rotating shift work (possible weekends also)
•    Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks, and the ability to work outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces

 

Desirable;


•    Previous wine industry experience
•    Forklift Licence
•    Confined space ticket
