About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Master Production Scheduler to join our team on a full time basis. This role will be initially based at Reynella but will be moving to state of the art offices in the Adelaide CBD in late 2021, and will require ongoing travel to our primary production facility Berri Estates in Glossop, South Australia.  Suitable appllicants may also be based from Berri Estates offices if that is a preference.

Reporting to the Planning Supervisor and working closely with Berri Estates production leaders, the Master Production Scheduler primary function is to perform the finite scheduling of sparkling and still wine production across glass and cask filling lines, including the scheduling of pressurised tanks for sparkling wine production.


Key tasks of the role include:

•    Convert the 26-week Production Plan into a weekly Master Production Schedule across Glass and Cask filling lines (Still and Sparkling wine). 
•    Schedule Sparkling wine production (including Tirage and Transfer), and ensure coordination wine production (including transfer an disgorge) with timing of Filling across multiple production lines 
•    Ensure efficient bulk wine handling and pressurised tank management through optimised scheduling and sequencing. 
•    Work with the Planning and Product Management team to execute vintage roll planning, renovations and activations, including planning for Bill of Material effectivity date changes and working closely with the Purchasing team on control of Dry Good transitions. 
•    Purchase bulk wine from global wineries and monitor timely deliver against domestic filling schedules.
•    Work closely with the with the Global Wine and Grape Supply Planning and Allocations team and Management systems and planning for Bill of Material.
•    Continuously improve Scheduling tools including Master Production Schedule functionality to assist production leaders and shop floor users.

What you’ll bring:

The person we are looking for will be highly analytical with a good scheduling and production planning methodologies and a demonstrated strong understanding of computer systems, particularly use of Excel, , and previous experience using JDE would be highly regarded.  

To be considered for the role, you will need to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a FMCG environment and the preferred candidate will have had demonstrable experience working in a logistics team.
