About the role

We are now recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team on a part time basis (4 days per week). This is a 12-month contract for parental leave cover, with potential for other internal opportunities for the right candidate. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will have a strong focus on the preparation of statutory financial statements, technical accounting positions, and general ledger reconciliations.  

You will be based in our Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home.

 
This role is a part-time (0.8 FTE) on a 12-month contract basis.
 

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of annual statutory accounts for various reporting entities.
• Assist with statutory audits by managing PBC requests and follow up, as well as audit queries.
• Preparation of technical accounting positions for review internally and by external auditors.
• Monthly accounting completed accurately and on time.
• General ledger account reconciliations (preparation and review)
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasting
• Assist with maintenance of Policies, Procedures and Control Narratives for Corporate Finance Team.
• Assist with internal controls testing for the Corporate Finance Team.
• Regular (monthly/quarterly/annually) reporting of accounting positions taken and supporting documentation files maintained.
• Provide back up to other members of the Corporate Accounting Team
   

What you’ll bring:

• CA or CPA qualified
• 5-7 years’ experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting roles
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and disclosures
• Bachelor of Commerce or similar accounting degree
• Strong understanding of accounting standards
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience using ERP system (JDE desirable)
• Proactivity, excellent organisational skills and a passion for wine!
