About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst – Inventory Costing & Optimisation to join our dynamic Supply Chain Finance team. In this role, you will maintain accurate valuation for Australian and New Zealand bulk wine inventory, partnering with internal stakeholders to provide analytical insights into bulk wine costs and variances and reporting on inventory including obsolescence, safety stock, inventory turnover, and other metrics. As the Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining reporting tools to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement. 

This role will give you the chance to showcase your problem-solving and analytical skills and business partnering skills to collaborate with other areas of the business to provide costings for new products, providing a brilliant opportunity to be exposed to site staff, through to Finance Directors.

This role is based in our Adelaide CBD office, with the flexibility to work from home. 

This role is full-time and permanent.
 

Key responsibilities include:

• Be responsible for the accurate valuation of Australia and New Zealand bulk wine inventory 
• Business partner with stakeholders across Supply Chain and Commercial, including teams in different geographic locations, to deliver business insights across bulk wine and finished goods inventory
• Continuous improvement in forecasting capabilities for inventory including SMI, safety stock, inventory turnover and other metrics
• Monthly bulk wine blend analysis, focused on identifying significant variances to recipe and other material cost drivers to support the business in optimisation of bulk wine costs
• Ensure inventory costs are accurately maintained in the costing systems
• Provide oversight and increase financial rigour to selected inventory balances and reconciliations
• Play a key role in development of budget standard costs and inventory outlook for ANZ
• Take ownership of bulk wine costing requests from Marketing and Product Management teams in line with agreed SLA timelines, and ensure appropriate costs are reflected in NPD gate papers
• Liaise with the internal and external auditors for quarterly and annual audit requirements
• Prepare monthly inventory reporting for Treasury & Insurance teams

What you'll bring:

• Demonstrated MS Excel skills with exposure to modern ERP financial systems
• Technical proficiency in manufacturing accounting and standard cost (preferred)
• High level analytical and problem-solving skills
• CA/CPA professional accreditation
