This newly created role which sits on our OpEX team, is positioned to drive continuous improvement enhancing the performance of the ANZ Supply Chain & Operations business and take a lead role in implementing an operational excellence framework across the business. This role supports functional leaders in the rollout of the OpEX management system. As a subject matter expert the Operations Excellence Specialist also supports problem solving and project management initiates across all sites.

 

This is a full time, permanent role that can be based in Adelaide CBD or Glossop (Berri), South Australia.
 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Strive for Operational Excellence through upholding and coaching on the central pillars of Performance Management Systems and Daily Management Systems and embodying the Ways of Working as outlined in the Accolade Wines OpEx Playbook.
  • Coaching and coordinate bottom up builds for KPI target setting including monitoring and maintaining reporting systems with Process Owners and establishing Maturity Improvement Plans.
  • Develop insights and reports on operational performance, including benchmarks against industry standards and best practices.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement activities across the Sites; lead and support initiatives to improve operational performance, productivity and A3 project execution; and develop Root Cause and Problem-Solving Capability across Supply Chain & Operations teams.
  • Undertake diagnostics and process flow mapping to independently identify strengths and opportunities. Use the insights to develop a roadmap of value-enhancing initiatives in line with business objectives.
  • Introduce Lean Six Sigma mindset and methodology and lead improvement projects influenced by Lean Six Sigma practices.
  • Support training plans, mentor and build CI capability of all staff including the Site Leadership Team.
  • Empower and motivate people through adaptation of Lean, Six Sigma and other methods to improve performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
     

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field highly regarded.
  • Must have drivers Licence (company vehicle available for travel) and willingness to do some travel (Glossop (Berri), McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley).
  • Ability to work in Wine manufacturing environments including winery, cellar, packaging, warehouse and logistic operations.
  • Ability to drive Change and support people through effective change management.
  • Proven ability to deliver change and drive continuous improvement through self-led initiatives and by participating in Continuous Improvement activities across sites delivering sustainable value and best-in-class outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with a track record of implementing Operational Excellence programs.
  • Advanced in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar and computer Aptitude (both MSWord & MS Excel).
  • High energy, is a self-starter with ability to motivate workforce & work in a team-based environment, with limited supervision.
