We are now recruiting for a Materials Controller to join our Supply Chain and Operations team.  This role is responsible for managing Dry Good categories to meet production demands and minimise obsolescence. This role will also manage the execution phase of Vintage Rolls across the Label category and assisting in Dry Good Vendor Management, working closely with Planning and Purchasing to ensure timely and optimised vintage rolls.

In this role, you will also control and maintain MRP master data that is aligned to operating objectives, procurement and vendor terms and conditions, and demonstrated supply chain performance. 


You can be based in either our Adelaide CBD office or our Berri Estates Production and Packaging facility, with flexibility to work from home.

This role is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Manage Vintage Rolls across the label category from initiating Dry Good Approval (DGA), ensuring Parts List maintenance and monitoring timing to ensuring label obsolescence is tightly controlled and effectively optimised.
•    Process JDE MRP messages for Dry Goods, manage MRP exception messages and initiate Stock Transfer movements for Dry Goods. 
•    Manage and maintain optimum stock levels of dry goods to meet production demands and business objectives. 
•    Work closely with Procurement and vendors to maintain MRP master planning data including lead times and MOQ’s. 
•    Update master data to reflect changes to vendor lead times and other supply chain risks. 
•    Partner with Purchasing and Planning to set appropriate inventory and replenishment policies based on the Dry Good category and vendor constraints.
•    Ensure data integrity of Dry Good forecasts including life cycle status. 
•    Work with Procurement and SNP members on the operational and strategic management of Dry Good vendors.
•    Ensure Accounts Payables are managed to vendor trading terms.
•    Partner with Inventory Team to coordinate stock takes and stock adjustments as required.
•    Perform SNP Housekeeping Reports to ensure ongoing data integrity.
•    Investigate Data Integrity issues as they are detected and identify corrective and preventative actions.

What you’ll bring:

•    Strong systems experience in MRP/ERP/ERP II. 
•    Advanced Excel Skills. 
•    3 years’ experience in a Purchasing / Vendor Management role in a FMCG environment.
•    Experience in the wine industry, or other industry highly impacted by vintage seasonality a distinct advantage.
•    Proactivity, excellent communication skills and a passion for wine!
