About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team. As Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in the provision of legal advice, preparation and review of contracts, administration of corporate policies, and management of external providers.
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, this role works with other members of our global Legal team and provides support on projects and other matters as required.
In this role, you will work on exciting projects while gaining exposure to different portfolios and stakeholders.
This role is based in our Adelaide CBD office, with the flexibility to work from home.
This role is full-time and permanent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on relevant legal and regulatory risks and compliance associated with business activities and operations.
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements and other documents.
- Assisting with the development and delivery of legal training and corporate polices.
- Roll-out of legal operations programs including technology solutions and compliance programmes.
- Advising on regulatory changes.
- Management of external legal providers and liaising.
- Assisting the Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel on additional matters and projects, as required.
- Assist with company secretarial matters and other areas of the business as required.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
- Admission to practice in an Australian jurisdiction with current practising certificate.
- Trained at a top or mid-tier firm or in-house team, with a strong commercial law background.
- 2-4 years post admission experience.
- Exposure to a broad range of commercial contracts and documents.
- Experience in dealing with a range of professional backgrounds, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication and drafting skills
